Academy of Music and Drama

Master: Composition

The master education in Composition offers individual tuition and supervision, seminars, and possibilities for co-operation with art institutions, professional ensembles and orchestras.

You can apply with a background in either instrumental- or electronic music or in sound art.
The overarching goal is to give you advanced artistic attainments in the main subject, skills, experimental practice, and communication.
A large number of performances, exhibitions and concerts take place at the Academy in co-operation with fellow students and professional musicians. SIREN - the Academy’s festival for new music - plays a decisive role in the official concert programme.

The programme is given in English. Students who have obtained the Master’s degree are eligible to apply for the PhD programme in music performance or composition.
