Master programmes

MA programmes are intended for applicants who have a BA or the equivalent comprising at least 180 higher education credits in music or some other qualification from an academy of music/drama/opera. On completion of the MA programme you can apply to go on to study at research level.

We offer MA programmes in music, drama and opera

The MA programme in music is offered with five specializations:
• improvisation
• interpretation
• composition
• symphonic orchestra performance (Swedish National Orchestra Academy)
• theory

Other advanced programmes include independent third and fourth semester programmes in music pedagogy.
