The Academy

The Academy of Music and Drama is a big institution at University of Gothenburg with its about 600 students and 150 staff. We are housed in Artisten, a building of our own in the very city centre of Göteborg.

Our Bachelor programmes include composition, musical theatre, music with six specializations, opera, teacher training and theatre.

The Master programmes comprise music with various orientations as well as musical drama performance and acting. You can also pursue Ph.D.studies at our Academy.

We are part of the Faculty of Fine, Applied and Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg.

The Academy Office

The office works with student administration, including study result reporting, issuing of various kinds of transcripts, and answering general questions about our educational programmes. The office also organizes the entrance examinations for the various programmes offered at the school, and answers questions about these examinations.
